PT-U₀ Range extension

To bridge distances of more than 8 km with an S₀-Interface of the Private Terminator (PT) a PT-Repeater has to be used. This allows the S₀ to be extended up to 16 km, or if more distance is required with 2 PT Repeaters the extension can bridge up to 24 km.

The Power supply to the PT Repeater can either be locally powered with a mains plug or over the U₀-Interface using a Phantom power supply.

If however the existing U₀-Interface has no Phantom power supply this can be supplied using the USP which generates the phantom power required.
